At the Cabinet's regular meeting on November 24, 2021, the Government of Mongolia has appointed Munkhnasan Sodnomrentsen as the acting Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority.

S.Munkhnasan is a specialist in electronics engineer and air traffic controller and has been working in the civil aviation sector for 22 years.

He worked as an air traffic controller, instructor of the area control center, head of the area control center, manager of the area control center, air traffic control services in 1999-2015, Director of the Air Transport Policy Implementation Coordination Division, Ministry of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia between 2015-2018, Deputy Director of Airports Authority in 2018-2020, he has been the Deputy Director of the Airports Services Department of the National Civil Aviation Center in 2020-2021. 

Deputy Chief of the Cabinet Secretary, B.Batbaatar, introduced the Government Resolution and wished success in his work emphasizing the importance of the role of professional in the aviation field.
